Welcome Ma'am

Grey skies met the Cunard Queens this morning but The Count was out to offer a greeting worthy of the Royal Courts they deserved.

It was quite a sight to see not one but two large liners steaming down Sydney Harbour particularly arriving in darkness.

Considering the conditions the harbour was live with spectator craft. The Queens enjoyed the day together in Sydney Harbour both leaving the following day.

The last time 2 ships with the names of Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary met in Sydney Harbour was during the Second World War. Circumstances this time were very different!

A great moment for Sydney Harbour.

Hidden Secret

The Count ventured for an overnight stop to Bantry Bay. This bay is very secluded and quiet in the upper reaches of Middle Harbour.

The journey takes in a cruise down the Harbour and along to The Spit where timing is everything. We arrived for the last bridge opening of the night at 2115hrs ....really very fun!

After a short time we're moored in this idealic location with the city within minutes of us.

A must for your "To do" list for Sydney Harbour

YES!

We've had our first wedding but this evening was another first.......a proposal. Who said romance was dead?

The MIC team worked hard to set the scene for a romantic evening Immanuel and his soon to be fiance (or at least that's the plan).

The evening began with an easy cruise down the harbour picking up the last of the twilight sailors from Rushcutters Bay and then to find an anchorage in Athol Bay below the zoo with the sunset and city skyline as a back drop.

Canapes (Ripples of course!) were served in the cockpit and with Michael Buble playing the crew retired to the bow leaving a surprisingly cool Immanuel to contemplate the timing of the BIG question.

Some slow dancing on the aft deck created the ideal moment and .......yes.......the answer was YES!

Congratulations Immanuel and Jeanne

Long Live the QUEENS!
