Weekend Sunrise

The Count welcomed Channel 7's Weekend Sunrise's James Tobin today to host the morning show's weather reports. It was an early start for all involved. The Count inched into Jones Bay at 6:15am to meet the James' team and set up.

It was really an fun time. Richard Parkes from Ripples - Sydney Wharf was aboard to cook up a yummy omelette with smoked salmon.

James gave his weather report along with a tour aboard The Count. I'm not too familiar with TV types but you couldn't meet a nicer guy. James, you're welcome aboard any time!

On signing off our TV commitments Greer, James (Leonard) and I headed out to challenge The Count for a quick whip around the harbour. We were met with a 20knot southerly. At full sail we were making 9.5knots. A test not for The Count but for the crew. What a hoot!

All in all a great day. Look out for an upload of the Weekend Sunrise footage.

A New Star

In recovery from today's Property Industry Foundation Regatta, where Australand crewed The Count to an impressive finish, The Count has been invited to feature on Sydney's Channel 7 Weekend Sunrise programme tomorrow (Saturday 26 March).

Keep watch for updates on the Regatta and Weekend Sunrise.

PIF Charity Regatta

The Count was out mixing it with the Maxis in the Property Industry Foundation's charity regatta with the team from Australand.

A truly magnificent day with over one hundred yachts from 8 metres to 30 metres in length. The wind remained largely from the west most of the day. Unfortunately it died for about 30min limiting The Count to about 3knots. Happily the wind freshened later to allow us to pass another 2 yachts taking one 50 metres before the finish.

With our victory song playing we returned to Middle Harbour Yacht Club where the team from Australand disembarked to joined the beach party that was well under way!
