The Count hosted some international exchange students sponsored by Rotary Australia, care of James Woods (aka Woodsy). When we left our berth we shared some of our recent experiences of sighting whales just off Sydney Heads. Needless to say they were keen to test us.....with a reasonable dose of scepticism.
Sailing through the Heads on another glorious winter's day, the questions quickly came ......"are they here yet?!"
On que....Thar she blows!

Whale of a day!
The Count headed out for the first time in a month after much work aboard. After spending the night at Athol Bay we headed out through Sydney Heads to view the big swells first hand.
Similar to 1 year ago whale watching boats were out in force and before we knew it they were heading for The Count.
Yep, it happened again...... whales just off out starboard beam. VERY EXCITING!
What a sight...... the theory of other B57 owners is that the dark hull and white superstructure attracts whales as it resembles a whale on it's back.
It should be a fun trip to Hamilton Island.
