This week will mark the completion of safety lines, black, grey and even fresh water flowing in all the right directions, dodger and bimini in place......Shorty's sails are on board....it's all happening. The fire fighting gear is so strong on the Count that I'm hoping to come across any boat that doesn't give us a wide berth......look out for the fire hose!
In all seriousness, Survey requirements are very important not only for the safety for those on board but also the protection of our harbour and waterways. The guys that conduct this work are often seen as placing obstacles in the path of prospective charterers but my experience has been one of co-operation and courtesy. Hats off to Tony Blacklock of NSW Waterways and the team around him.
As mentioned above, it's been a big week. Brendan, Robert, Steve, Ian, Craig, Mike, Mo Han, Brian, Pete have all been involved.....even Sue was down for another look.
The count down has begun........
