On to Frazer....it wasn't meant to be easy!

Sorry this update has taken some time....we've been out of contact for the past 6 days. We currently have net access but still no phones....aahh, the modern world!

We finally made it out of Mooloolaba and embarked on our next leg around Frazer Island. This meant a 2 day, 2 night trek. We met with some pretty testing seas at the Northern tip but all was rewarded when Lady Elliot Is and then Lady Musgrave Is came into view.


On the second night we were navigating the reefs with the trust of our passage planning and chart plotter....along with the trusty depth sounder......very exhilarating when sailing past Heron Island at 10.2knts in the pitch black! The result of our speed meant that we approached our intended next port at 2am so we headed further North to Pearl Bay.
Described as a pretty anchorage, tricky to get into and bumpy, all proved correct......but it was worth it.
